Our legacy goes back to 1968 when Dr. H.C. Raheja, a renowned psychiatrist, realized his dream of providing inpatient psychiatric and deaddiction services in the form of Raheja Nursing Home, and later, National Institute of Psychiatry. He provided quality service in the treatment of persons with a psychiatric illness and substance abuse/dependence with all his heart and inculcated the same passion in his son, Dr. Nikhil Raheja as well, who also went on to become a famous psychiatrist.
Dr. Nikhil Raheja completed his post-graduation in psychiatry and resolved to provide a new dimension to his father’s dream, which culminated in the opening of HCR Institute. It has been 46 years since we are committed to providing quality services in the fields of psychiatry and deaddiction, and continue to do so even to this day. The entire staff at HCR Institute strives to work toward a common goal of caring for the mentally ill in all possible ways with utmost dedication and resolve, with Dr. Nikhil Raheja providing the much needed support and guidance at every step.
